Travelling from Moss Cottage to the City of London or the West End is straightforward. Pinner Underground Station on the Metropolitan Line is only 10 minutes walk away. Trains run frequently to Baker Street (Central London) and some trains continue through to Aldgate in the City of London, stopping at Kings Cross and Liverpool Street mainline stations. The journey time from Pinner to Baker Street is approximately 20 minutes.

When returning to Pinner from Central London, the Metropolitan Line has 3 branches terminating at Uxbridge, Amersham and Watford. Pinner is situated on the Amersham/Watford branch. Whilst all trains to Watford stop at Pinner, some Amersham trains are fast and do not call at stations between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Moor Park. It is important to ensure that you board the right train.

It is also possible to reach Central London from Hatch End Silverlink Metro Station which is 15 minutes walk from Moss Cottage. Journey time from Hatch End to London Euston is approximately 30 minutes.

The bus stop for the H12 route is 5 minutes walk away. Buses run frequently and will take passengers through Pinner Village to Rayners Lane Underground Station for the Picadilly Line and Metropolitan Line (Uxbridge Branch). This is a quick way to get to Earls Court and the Kensington Museums. Travelling in the opposite direction the H12 passes through Hatch End and stops outside the Silverlink Metro Station.

All Metropolitan Line trains stop at nearby Harrow-on-the-Hill station.
