Access to the Apartment from London Airports
Heathrow Airport (LHR)
London Heathrow is the closest and most easily accessible of all London's airports.
Getting between Moss Cottage and Heathrow is simply a 30 minute taxi ride under good traffic conditions, however it is usually wise to allow more time.
By Public Transport
To get to Moss Cottage you take the Picadilly Line from London Heathrow Airport Underground Station in the direction of Cockfosters, Oakwood or Arnos Grove to Acton Town. At Acton Town cross over to the other platform using the over-bridge and take a westbound Picadilly Line train in the direction of Ruislip, Uxbridge or Rayners Lane. Get off the train at Rayners Lane.
From Rayners Lane Station you can either take a taxi to Moss Cottage or take the H12 bus (Destination Stanmore Station). A taxi company called Century Cabs is based on the opposite side of the main road. If you wish to use the bus, the bus stop is located 30 meters down the hill from the station on the same side of the main road. When you exit Rayners Lane station you need to turn hard left and walk around the front of the building so you are walking down the road in the opposite direction to the direction in which you were facing as you walked through the exit. The H12 will pass through Pinner Village and a long the road to Pinner Green. At the traffic lights the bus makes a right turn onto the Uxbridge Road. Alight at the third stop on the Uxbridge road opposite the entrance to Paines Lane. Ask the driver for the Paines Lane stop.
Paines Lane is on the opposite side of the road on your right. Walk up Paines Lane to Moss Lane and Moss Cottage is on the corner opposite the mailbox. The walk should take about 5 minutes.
Gatwick is readily accessible by an hourly Southern Trains service, direct from nearby Harrow and Wealdstone Station. Journey Time (50 minutes). From here you can either take a taxi to moss cottage or switch to platform 1 where Local Sivlerlink trains running from Euston to Watford Junction will take you two stops to Hatch End (5 minutes). Moss Cottage is either a 20 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride from this station. The H12 with destination South Harrow Station, leaves from the opposite side of the main road. The Paines lane stop is third. Ask the driver for details. Hatch End Station. Jouney time (15 minutes).
The Gatwick Express runs every half hour to and from London Victoria station. Onward travel from London Victoria to Moss Cottage is possible by taxi or by London Underground to Pinner.
Local taxis also provide a direct door to terminal service to Gatwick Airport.
London Stansted Airport
By Bus and Underground
National Express runs bus number A6 every 20 minutes to London Victoria Coach Station via Golders Green and Finchley Road. Take this bus from the bus station to Finchley Road Underground Station (Journey time 60-90 minutes). Tickets can be purchased at the National Express Desk to the right of the arrival area. From Finchley Road Underground station, take a train with destination Watford from the far left platform as you enter the station. Alight at Pinner. Tickets can be purchased at the station booking office.
The Stansted Express provides a fast shuttle service between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street Station. The journey takes about 40 minutes. At Liverpool Street change to the London Underground and take a Metropolitan Line train to Pinner Station.
Local taxis also provide a service to and from Stansted Airport.
